The Aurora Choir: A Powerful and Beautiful Choir Sample Library for Kontakt
An Amazing Choir Sample Library
The Aurora Choir is a really cool and powerful choir sample library for Kontakt. It's a big deal for Aria Sounds because they put in a lot of time and effort to make it perfect.
What's Inside
This library has both Sopranos and Altos, which are different parts of the choir. You can control each part separately, which is super handy. The best part is that the choir sounds so realistic when they sing smoothly from one note to another. It's called legato, and it's amazing!
There are also short syllables that you can play in a sequence. Just arrange the syllables in the order you want, and the choir will sing them for you. It's like having your own choir conductor!
Important Notes
Before you get too excited, you need to know that you'll need the full version of Kontakt to use this library. Also, all the vocals in this library are sung by female singers.
Realism and Variation
The choir has four different legato modes: ah, eh, ih, and oh. Each mode was recorded at different volumes, so you get a total of eight different legato sets. This makes the choir sound even more realistic and gives you lots of options to play with.
There are also twenty-four different short syllables that you can use in your music. Each syllable was recorded at three different volumes, so you have a total of seventy-two variations for each short note. That's a lot of possibilities!
Multiple Mic Positions
The choir was recorded in a special hall to make sure it sounds amazing. They used four different microphones to capture every part of the choir's sound. You can choose which microphone position you like the best or even create your own mix using all four positions.
The microphones are set up from closest to furthest, and you can choose between condenser mics (which give a bright sound) or ribbon mics (which give a warm sound). If you want an even more echoey sound, there's a reverb slider you can use. Plus, if you want to add your own reverb, this library works great with external reverb effects.
Sequencer for Spoken Lines
The interface of this library has a sequencer that lets you create spoken lines that sound super realistic and powerful. There are twenty-four syllables included, and you can easily change them to make your own custom sequence. Just click on a syllable and choose a different one from the menu. You can also control the volume by how hard you press the keys on your keyboard.
If you don't want to use all twenty-four steps every time, there's a special key you can press to start the sequence from the beginning. This gives you even more options to make your music unique.
