YouTube has announced that they have changed their requirements for monetization

The new requirements are that 500 subscribers, three public uploads in the last 90 days, and either 3,000 watch hours, three million YouTube short views, or a combination of both is needed for monetization. This change was made to make it easier for smaller channels to monetize. However, this does not mean that all monetization is being unlocked. Only some monetization is being allowed at this point. Super chats, channel memberships, super thanks, super stickers, and the ability to promote your own products with YouTube shopping are the current options for monetization.
