Capturing the Essence of the BBD Chip

The AX Chorus is based on the ACE modeled MN3009 Bucket Brigade (BBD) chip that was used in the AX73 and AX60 synthesizers. By using this chip, the chorus effect in the plugin is just like the original analog versions found in those synthesizers. Plus, you can even switch it to stereo mode for a wider sound.




Since Akai never released the chorus as a standalone effect, Martinic imagined what it would have been like in the 1980s and created a plugin that combines both the AX73 and AX60 chorus effects in one unit.


AX Chorus comes with 16 presets that are ready to use. These presets include models of the AX73 and AX60 chorus effects, giving you a variety of sounds to play around with.
